Why do you or why don't you want to have children?

I'm posting this out of pure curiosity and to be understanding. I don't mean for this to turn into a feud, if it does I'll take the post down. Whether it's adoption or not, why do you want to be a mother? Why don't you want to be a mother? I'm sure everyone has there different reasonings, feel free to vent in the comments. Lots of love ❤️

I'm selfish I guess, I want to have to freedom of not having a child. If I had kids I would want to adopt because there are so many kids out there who need a family I would love to adopt

I'm not a selfish person. I just don't want them. Nothing about them seems great or sparks joy in me. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I dislike when people automatically assume people are selfish if they don't want kids. I volunteer and give back to my community.. my SO and I just don't have a desire to have children. And that's okay. We have our dogs and that's how we like it. we both work hard, we travel often, we own our home. we have great lives together and separately. I'm a happy woman.

Personally... & this is solely my opinion... I think I'm too selfish for children. I enjoy watching my niece & taking her places & buying her things & seeing her happy & I'd protect her with my own life... but when the day is over, I'm ready for her to go back with my brother. & people may think that's awful or form whatever opinions they want of me but that's just how I feel 🤷🏼‍♀️ 
My mother says I would feel differently if I had a child of my own but I can't even imagine myself with children so... idk, maybe one day but no time soon 😬

I really would want to adopt, but my bf says that he's want his own.. I want kids because I'm nurturing by nature and know I'd make a great parent someday and have always envisioned it, but I'm scared to have a child due to the fact that I've been molested and raped and far worse happens to some kids and I'm afraid of raising a child or children in our disgusting society..

I feel like if i had kids I wouldn't be able to handle all the stress, and they might end up hating me because I would be really bad at taking care of them. Also I personally just think kids are gross, I mean I was a gross kid, I feel bad for my parents putting up with me.

I've always wanted kids but I'm afraid Of the "what ifs". I'm scared they might be like me and have aggressively deep and depressing thoughts or that I won't be a good parent. Or worst of all that I raise them and love them and they turn out to be just another asshole added to the lot! But I think I'll take my chances bc hell id still love them so much.

I've always wanted to be a mother. I love children, especially babies. My fiance has always felt the same way. I just had my first. Plus I couldn't deal with inflicting the side effects of birth control on my hormones and we hate condoms. It's cool though, we want at least eight kids.
