Cloth diapers?

Who uses cloth diapers? How do you wash them? Is it worth it?

They aren't much different than washing normal clothes, honestly. Dump/scrape poop in the toilet, prewash in the washing machine, and then wash like normal clothes. Yes, they're worth it. They're cheaper than disposables, better for baby's bottom, and it doesn't hurt that they are cute too. Cloth diapering sounds like much more of a pain in the ass than it really is, honestly. There are a few youtubers that discuss cloth diapering. I liked Naturally Thrifty Mom's playlist on cloth diapering. She's the reason I finally did it.

I love to know that I'm saving money and not filling up the landfills with disposable diapers that will take decades to decompose. My son has never had a rash in his cloth pocket diapers and although we've had issues with leaks (have moved to disposable diapers at night only) we just get used to keeping up with the washing - like others said, just about the same as normal laundry

Pretty much everything Brooke said! Check out Fluff Love University - they have a lot of resources for what your options are and how to set up a good wash routine. We have been using cloth exclusively (aside from vacations and the first couple of weeks before he fit into the one-size diapers) and he's 14 months old. Super happy with our choice, and all the money we are saving!
