I just found out two days ago (at exactly 8 weeks) that I have a blighted ovum. My DH and I are devastated to say the least. Our DD is only 4 years old and she is so excited about the thought of being a big sister and is constantly running around talking about the baby in mommy's tummy. I know I shouldn't have told her this early but I was so excited to be pregnant again, I couldn't help it. Lesson learned. Does anyone have any advice on how to talk to her about this? Has anyone else had to explain a miscarriage to a young child? How did they take it?
