Tampon For 9 Hours?

I'm about to start school and am not able to change a tampon every few hours. I really dislike pads and would like to use a tampon.. I would wear both a pad and a tampon, and am not so scared about leaking during the day.. what I'm scared about is TSS. I would put a tampon in around 7am, and take it out as soon as I get home around 3pm. Is this too long? Will I get TSS? How long do you leave tampons in? What happens of you leave it in more than 8 hours? Also, Ive never used a tampon before cause I'm afraid of TSS and that it will hurt when i take it out..

How come you're unable too go to the toilet at school when you're there for 9 hours? Do you not have a break or dinner? I wouldn't leave a tampon in for 9 hours as they need to be changed regularly to prevent TSS and I wouldn't say it's heathy or hygienic too keep one in for that long either x

Could you change during lunch? I think you would be fine waiting until home, but changing would be a lot more mind easing and probably make you feel much more confident!

I've done this in school only because I was on the "no hall pass" list 🙄  and I'm fine but I would get home and put a pad on to avoid over doing it.  Would you be willing to wear pads when you're home/overnight?

Quickly. They shouldn't hurt to be removed unless you just put it in and it's dry. Try a menstrual cup maybe? They can be left in for 12 hours safely.

I would have your mother call the school and request you get to go to the bathroom during class because of your time of the month. they should be changed every 6 hours.  I would try to change it during the day

It's not right that your teacher(s) don't let you go to the bathroom during class. I'd get up and go in the middle of class or I'd just have to be late to class. Surely they'd understand if you let them know it's that time of the month.

You shouldn't do that. If you have heavy flow they say don't keep it in longer than 6 hours and light flow 8 hours. I change mine every 3-4 hours because I'm scared of TSS. It does happen and is common. And note not reversible. So if you do get TSS there is absolutely nothing they can do to help you.
