Advice/ inputs?

So, my fiance and I are applying to get an apartment together. It will all be new to us considering the fact that we have only lived with our parents. At first I was all for it and was extremely excited.. but for some reason I've just been over thinking I guess and I'm worried that we will either break up, or that we won't be able to work together at it. I was just curious, for those of you who live with your SO what is it like? How do you split tab on expenses equally? What are some things you do to work at it together and prevent arguments? What are some ways to save money? Positive advice/inputs only please. thanks! 😃

First of all, it's not easy. you will learn about things you hate that your significant other does. You're going to habe the stress of bills added to your relationship. The best thing you can do is remember to keep an open mind about somethings and when something comes up that bothers you, talk about it. as far as saving money, eat in more, use coupons at the store, don't always buy name brand items (store brands are usually the exact same). when it comes to the bills, split them 50/50 or assign one bill to one person and another to the other person. do what is easiest for the two of you. Lastly, don't sweat the small stuff. little arguments are going to happen. talk it out. And just be responsible. clean up after yourself. Do laundry and dishes together. Find a rhythm that works for you both.

We used venmo to split the tab on things. It made it super easy.
If you communicate even when it's hard, you'll prevent a lot of arguments.
We'd go grocery shopping together each week to save money(we rarely went out to eat).
You guys can do it 🙂 it takes a lot of hard work but there are sooo many pros to outweigh the cons.

Communication is #1!! always talk about everything together... tell each other how u like things vis versa. morning routine, nightly routine, foods u like and dislike, tv shows, cleaning up after each other etc. go over total bills and split the bills evenly. learn from one another and teach each other what u both want and needs... hv fun together and enjoy each others company... but remember comunitation sld always be #1!!!!
