What age would you give up TTC2?

Does anyone have an age in mind to give up? I feel hopeless ttc2. Been trying since June 2015 but nothing ☹ Is giving up ever truly an option?? Im scared to stop, not ready yet but im nearly 33 and worry about the health risks as i get older....

My aunt was 37 when she had her first. He's now a healthy 15 year old. She tried again for #2 at 39 but unfortunately had 2 miscarriages and a molar pregnancy. Plenty of women have children in their late thirties though. My grandmother was 40 when she had my dad and his twin brother!

I'm 35 and trying for my first biological baby.  I have 2 older children I adopted with my ex husband and I have a step daughter.  I feel so much more confident about having a baby now and being a parent when my others were born.  I also don't feel or look 35 so that's a help lol

We tried for approximately a year to get pregnant with baby #2. I was 33 when I conceived and will be 33 (3 weeks from 34) when baby #2 is expected. I'm 35w5d now. I told myself I had until 35 for #2 to be conceived and after that it just wouldn't happen. However, with that being said, we more than likely would have continued trying for #2 for a bit longer. Don't lose hope! Good luck.

It's funny how we restrict people on what age they should have children as if conceiving is just a walk in the park for everyone. If you have been trying with no luck and you are 35 why don't you keep trying until the doctor tell you no. Those that have children can say 33 is too old but for who? You are as old as you feel

35, and frankly that's still too old for my liking (only increased my limit out of consideration for hubby). Medical science trumps feel-good anecdotes any day.

My Mum was 38 when she had me so i know it is possible but she was always too tired/ill/old and wasn't able to do much with me growing up. I want to do everything and go everywhere with my children. I want the energy to do it. I also ended up being 6 weeks premature and have a very large Port wine stain birthmark that covers half my face, neck, back, bum and thigh. Noone know the exact cause but i can't help thinking there could be a link. I know its silly. Im probably just being paranoid.

33 is definitely not too old to have a baby. You're not high risk at that point.

my youngest is 11. she will be 12 in Jan.  if I don't get pregnant before then.... we are stopping.  weve been TTC 8 months now.
