It's actually an evolutionary thing that babies (especially as newborns) resemble their dads a disproportionate amount. It's so that the dad doesn't reject the baby as being someone else's, and is able to identify with the baby and bond better (apparently we don't need the same evidence that it's ours after pushing it out of our hoo-hoo). My brothers' kids all looked just like them when born but they're growing up looking more like their mums.

That's the way it is with my daughter when she was first born.. she looked identical to her dad the way he looks now but like me when I was a baby.. 6 years later she is still the same. Resembles her dad's features now and me when I was 6 years old lol
