For the women who just eloped

Was it easier for you and your so? We just got engaged last week. We're planning to move into our apartment. We just bought new furniture and our home needs things while we also have two babies and we know how expensive that can be. We've been together for six years and we know we want to just go to the court house and get married. No big wedding. I know I am getting myself a simple dress though and I'd be happy. How did it go? Any rules to abide by? Expenses? What did you wear? Guests allowed?
