is anyone planning a wedding while pregnant??

Question

Is anyone planning their wedding while pregnant? We've been planning our October 2018 wedding since this spring, we've booked the venue, photographer, DJ, hair and makeup etc. all of who's deposits are non refundable (about 5k worth of deposits)

Is anyone still planning their wedding now that they've gotten a BFP? We've just gotten ours and we're trying to figure out if it's worth it to lose the 5k, and cancel the wedding OR to continue with our wedding plans and try and figure out how to afford both a wedding and a baby.

For reference baby would be about 5 months old at the time of our wedding.

yess! we're due with our second child in December, and the wedding is in April of 2018. we just bought our first house and he proposed to me the day we moved in on our back porch! we own 2 acres, so We're actually going to have the wedding AND reception here (even going to cook our own food). which will cut alot of costs. We're not planning on spending over 5k. the most expensive thing were paying for is photography which is $900. however, it's still stressful no matter how much money you spend!

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and our wedding is in 30 days .. and I just started to show yesterday so I'm on pins and needles praying my dress will still fit perfectly by September 30th !!

I'm getting married at 30 weeks but it's just a weekend getaway elopement package. If a wedding is important to you than go for it! This is my second marriage and I personally felt my first church and reception wedding was a lot of stress and a waste of money. I could just be bitter though because that marriage was awful😉

kind of. we just got engaged on the 19th and I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with our third child. Our problem is we can't decide whether to elope and have a reception later on for family+friends or to have a traditional wedding. I'm torn because my older sister eloped so my parents never got to be there and who knows how much longer my dad will be around to see any of his other daughters get married...but at the same time traditional weddings are so expensive and eloping would be like the wedding and honeymoon all in one. Idk we haven't even picked a date yet because we're so undecided. in your situation though I'd continue to plan the wedding. babies really are not super expensive in the early years, especially if you start preparing now and begin buying diapers, clothes and all that stuff before he/she is born.

Yes we started planning our weddding then found out I was pregnant I got 56 days until I get married we aren't changing dates or times

My very personal belief is that while it's a very special day, it's a day, and it wasn't worth us going into debt for years and years when we want to buy a house, have kids etc. But we still wanted a wedding, so we did a luncheon on a Friday afternoon for about 50 people with just beer wine and champagne  (the open bar with liquor would have doubled the bill!) Because we did it on Friday, we negotiated the price way down (because Friday afternoons are not a high demand for venues so they want your business and will lower the price), we were able to have a lovely wedding at a fraction of the price. We had a local grocery store make us a gorgeous 3 tier cake (it looked identical to the pricey cakes) and did our own fresh flower centerpieces (it's all about taste). You can still have the photographer, DJ etc and not lose your deposits if you want. It was done very tastefully and only cost us $5,000. We still had appetizers, salads, a sit down lunch, DJ cake etc so it didn't feel like we missed out on anything.
