Membrane sweep??

Question

I'm 39+1 and today I got my membrane swept (ouch)! I'm also 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced. 
Just wanted to know yalls experience with membrane sweeps and how effective they have been in triggering labor. Doc said I could be going into labor in the next 48 hours if it takes.
FTM so any experienced input is welcome!

To update everyone, my membrane sweep was 100% successful!!! Sweep was at 10 am on Wednesday, and Royce Monroe Frank came into the world at 1:36pm Thursday, August 31st ❤️❤️❤️

ive gotten my membranes swept again today, first time was last week. so twice already its been done and NOTHING. im 38 weeks and 3 days but baby is overweight so we're tryna get things rolling. no contractions or spotting or leaking.  i think its like ppl say, no matter what you do or docs do unless its medicine to induce its all up to you and your body being ready. stripling the membranes never worked for me. they tried my first pregnancy as well and nothing either

I was 39 weeks and got mine swept in the am and went into labor that night..had her the next morning! Good luck!

It really worked for me during my first pregnancy I got it Don't on a Friday and I had my Daughter that Monday . I did a lot of walking after I had it done

Ive had two differing experiences: had a sweep with my second baby and within 24 hrs I was in full blown labour. This was at 37 weeks. Had another sweep last Thursday, fully expecting the same outcome. Had lots of cramping and have been losing large pieces of mucous plug but here I am, a week later, 40+3 and nothing!! Guess it didn't work  :(

It gave me terrible contractions that didn't dilate me, but I was also 42 weeks overdue with my first child.... I think my body was just being stubborn.... But I know that this works for most people. I did at least get my bloody show about 12 hours after having my membrane sweep.
