Mood swings off of birthcontrol?

Is it possible to still have some mood swings and just random hormone episodes when you've been off birthcontrol for about 2-3 months? I was pmsing for about 2 weeks and it's been 4 days on my period and I just don't feel like myself. I wake up with bad feelings in my stomach and I just don't feel happy or anything and this has been going on for about a week now. So if I need to get back on bc because of this then I will because it's getting ridiculous.
