Breast milk for an 8 year old?
This is random and weird question. My mind thinks about weird stuff throughout the day sometimes...
So I was thinking about breastfeeding, as I'm pregnant with my second. Then my mind went to the concept of milk and how it's the norm to drink milk from a cow. We don't drink dog milk, dolphin milk, ape milk, etc but we drink cows milk (we don't personally, we drink almond and cashew).
I was wondering if mothers with large age gaps between children serve the older ones their milk if they're lactating? It has to be more nutritious for the kid than cow milk, considering you're the literal human they came from.
I'm severely indifferent and don't have a decided opinion on it but would it be weird to give my son, who will be 8 when the baby arrives, my milk? I'm not gonna breastfeed him but if I'm pumping and I'm fortunate enough to produce a lot would it be weird to give him a glass?
Everyone says breast is best, the benefits of breastmilk are like no other, and again it's much more beneficial than cow milk.
Don't judge me too harshly, I'm seriously curious as to what people would do. Lol.
