Yeah, and sex drive? Non existent now. I haven't had sex in months because the feeling too just isn't there. Annoys the shit out of me

YES YES YES. It's the only negative side effect I've noticed. I'm on the pill but I'm going to switch to the ring so hopefully that helps 🤞🏻

The nexplanon did. Oh boy was I crazy with that thing! I was needy, emotional, had mood swings and cried like all the time. I'm back on the pill and I feel normal again!

There are so many negative side effects to birth control you really just have to weigh out the pros and cons. For me, I have severe mental illness that for whatever reason (probably just hormones and stuff) my mental illness would get extremely worse every time I was on my period. On top of that, my flow was so heavy I was forced to change a heavy flow tampon every 15 minutes. The whole thing was ridiculous and obviously I was unable to function as a normal human being because of it, so for me, even though there's a lot of negative side effects to birth control, it's better than going through psychosis and having the bloody Niagara Falls every month. Everyone experiences side effects differently, but for me personally the side effects I've noticed are: lowered sex drive, change of appetite (the foods I liked/disliked changed), extremely whack hormones (esp. at first), and weight gain (again, more at first and now that it's been a while I'm back to my normal weight). There's probably other stuff that I just haven't noticed, but I take two other medications as well so it's hard to tell which one is giving me the side effect. Anyways, TL;DR weigh out pros and cons and make an educated decision for yourself :) <3
