First scan which is dating scan?

Question

When did all of you ladies go for your dating scan? My doctor said wait to 8weeks. I'm currently 6weeks and 4 days. 
Should I go for the scan in a few days or just wait?? 
I just want to know how far I actually am because I believe I am farther then what everyone thinks...... could just be me mind playing tricks but you know .... 😞😞

i was 10 weeks. The later the better because if you go too early you rism not seeing anything yet and being scared for no reason

most doctors have you come in at 8-10 weeks since there is the chance miscarriage. I was seen at 6 weeks but only because I had 4 miscarriages before so it was to check everything is alright. I would wait until 8 weeks I know it's a long wait but worth it. just try to relax it's only 2 weeks away.

My OB wouldn't see me until 8 weeks. Didn't mention if I'd get an ultrasound or not, but I did. Measured 3 days ahead. So wasn't too far off. You can definitely see more at 8 weeks than you can at 6. That's why some places like to wait.

If you chose the doctor, you should listen to their recommendations. My OB office doesn't schedule until 8 weeks. I had to wait until I was 9 weeks for them to have an opening.

You should wait because at 6 weeks the baby is still literally a blob. They are more accurate between 8-13 weeks. They are also preferably done between 8 and 13 weeks.

We got to choose between 8-14. We went at ten. I'm glad we waited because we could see more. I'd do it at 8 not 6.
