so i just had the Mona lisa copper iud 10 year inserted a couple weeks ago. i had to have day surgery for insertion. the side effects were minimal id say about 4 days ago i started spotting and in the last 24hrs started my cycle. its been pretty crampy, but im wondering if the clots are normal? i was told after inseration if i have larger then a loonie size clot to come back in. but these are just lots of id say medium sized. i know most people have more heavy flows with the copper so i just thought someone maybe would have had similar experience. ive only had the mirena while in college prior to having my son so not sure what to expect and dont see my gynocologist for another month.
