Is it selfish to have a baby knowing you'll have to apply for government assistance?
I was having a conversation with one of my friends today and she said that her SIL was talking to her about her plans to get pregnant. She said she'll only be able to afford the baby if she applies for WIC. The way she looks at it is, she and her husband work and pay taxes so WIC is there for that reason. My friend says that it's selfish to knowingly have a baby you can't afford.
I'm somewhere in the middle. What do you guys think? Is it selfish?
