What is a transvaginal ultrasound ? How do they do it ? & how does it feel?

I have to get a transvaginal ultrasound & I was wondering what happens & how does it feel ? Does it hurt ?

its not painful, maybe midly uncomfortable when they apply pressure to get a better angle but otherwise its fine. tbh if you've used a vibrator you'll be fine. Its nothing like getting a pap smear where they prop you open or anything.

Mine didn't hurt, but my cervix was irritated for a day or two after. I was having light spotting, but this can be common, or so the doctor said.

I honestly find them a little painful when they're checking your ovaries, but that's it. The rest of the time it's just a little awkward. The wand is pretty skinny so if doesn't hurt or anything.

It doesn't hurt but it does get a little uncomfortable when they move it to get pictures of your ovaries, if that's what they're going to do to you, they just kinda lean it towards the left or right, and my uterus is more to the left so they had to lean it reallllyyy far to get my left ovary, but other than that there's not at all pain

It's a little "wand" they slide into your vagina. Sometimes they'll offer you to put it in yourself, but if your uncomfortable they can insert it. They hold it in you while the images come up on the screen. They don't really move it or anything. It should not hurt, they use lots of lube and are very gentle. Just relax yourself as best as you can. It is very safe and quick.

It where they stick it in you and it shouldn't hurt at all. I've had it two times.
