Shot down by fellow preggo

Today my husband and I went out for ice cream while the kids stayed with grandma ( I know. We are jerks. Lol). While we were there, another obviously pregnant woman walked in. She was super fit with a huuuuge belly. She walked close to my husband and I and I said " They are all out of pickles. I asked. " trying to make a funny pregnancy joke as I am also very obviously pregnant. I thought there was some sort of pregnancy sisterhood where even strangers can share jokes/complaints/whatever about pregnancy. Apparently I was wrong. She was like, oh... and let out this little halfhearted chuckle with a "why are you talking to me" expression on her face. I felt so rejected. That will teach me to talk to strangers. Hahah
