Do I have the right to ask my boyfriend to stop talking to his ex gf?

He says she just needs someone to confide in sometimes because she doesn't have anyone, but the way I see it is theyre broken up and that's it, they're done. He said he doesn't want to talk to her and he doesn't care about her but he doesn't want to be rude and tell her to stop calling.

You can ask him but it doesn't mean he's going to listen.  Try to be mature about it and get him to see your perspective.  Flip the tables and ask him if he would like it.  He can be respectful of you or continue to talk to her.  You can't force him not to.  If this is a deal breaker for you explain that to him.  If he still chooses to speak to her then i guess you know where you stand.  Good luck!!

He doesn't care for her romantically, he just doesn't want her to be alone? When you have no on to talk to about your shit then it can become quite damaging. He sounds like a great person tbf. Just because they are exs, it doesn't mean they can't be friends & talk from the time to time. You should remember that they broke up for a reason. Saying that regardless of who it is, you don't have the right to stop him from talking to someone. He's his own person & gets to make his own decisions.

get that leech off your man. and that's bullshit, I can almost guarantee nothing is wrong with her, my ex tried that crap and I said "okay but I'm not your girl so Idk why you called me like I care" and hung up. that is not his responsibility anymore to care for her, she just trying to stay relevant to him. Yikes, maybe it's just me but he probably still has feelings. I also read that he has called you her name a few times? I'm only saying what I learned in my Psych class, but when stuff like that happens, it's bc that person or thing is on their mind. Sorry, but for someone who says they don't care about her, but will keep talking to her and comforting her so that she isn't so alone.... that sure doesn't like he doesn't care.
