Our birth story.
I was 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I had been in "labor" since 34 weeks, as labor technically means changing of the cervix. I was dilated to a 3.5 effaced at 34 weeks and started having light contractions. We went to the hospital and I stayed overnight to stop labor. When i got home I was on bed rest for over a month finally I got off bedrest and did everything I could to get the labor moving again NOTHING worked. June 23rd 2017 around 9:30 p.m. I started having light contractions again, I got to the hospital and was dilated to a 4.5 and 70% effaced. My contractions were stalling a little so they told me if it continued to stall they would assist the with potocin. I continued to dilated slowly and have minor contractions. Finally I got about half an ounce of potocin and dilated to an 7 and they broke my water. It took a minute to fully dilate but contractions were definitely dull force. Finally dilated to a 10 I got to start pushing, we were told at 21 weeks we were having a girl. I pushed for 25 minutes or so, had to have an episiotomy, and finally our baby BOY was born at 12:10 in the afternoon. Weighing in at 6 lbs, 4 oz. and 18 inches long. Everyone was so shocked but happy. We had no clue what we would do with all of our girl stuff. But we are two month and 10 days Postportum now and our baby boy has everything he need. As of August 28th he weighed 12 lbs. 2 oz. and 24 inches long. 💘💘
