Successful elective induction story!

First of all I want to give all glory to God for such an easy delivery and healthy baby girl!

My EDD was 9/3. Induction started at 6:30 pm on 8/29 and Baby girl was born on 8/30 at 3:35 am.

Labor and delivery was suuuuper fast and easy! I had already been having irregular contractions a couple of days prior to my induction but i was barely 1 cm dilated.

I arrived to the hospital at 6pm to start induction. By 6:30 pm cervidil was started and I was 1 cm dilated, 50% effaced. Cervidil was removed 10 to 15 minutes later due to the fact that baby's heart rate decreased tremendously. When it was removed I was already 3 cm dilated! The plan was to have the cervidil over night and start pitocin next morning at 6 am but Since my body progressed so quickly on its own, doctor decided to start pitocin that night, so by 9:30 pm pitocin was started. By this time I was still 3cm and 50% effaced. At around 1 am my contractions were getting pretty strong so I asked for the epidural and by 1:30 am epidural was in and I was feeling AWESOME!

At 2am catheter is inserted and I am 5 cm dilated! At 2:15 am doctor breaks my water and I dilate to 6 cm. At this time my doctor and nurse say that they think that by 6 am I would be close to 10 cm and ready to push. That they would no longer check me since water had been broken and they didn't want to increase chance for infection. They would only check me if I start feeling pressure, feel like I have to poop or urge to push. Boy were they wrong! Within 50 minutes I start feeling like I had to poop so bad! I even start farting uncontrollably LOL!

I tell my husband to call the nurse even though I am in denial that I could be ready to push in such a short time!

3:05 am Nurse comes and checks me and says honey, you are 9.5 cm! She seats my bed up and says let's let gravity do its thing and you will be at 10 cm here in a few minutes. She calls the doctor and preps the room. Doctor comes in 10 minutes later, checks me and says you're 10 cm, let's start some practice pushes.

I push one time and they tell me to stop and call the baby nurses to come on because baby girl was coming right away!

10 mins and 3 sets of pushes later, out comes baby girl at exactly 3:35 am!

Best part is that I didn't feel anything other than some minor pressure! No ring of Fire this time around 🙌🏼 which was my biggest fear as my first delivery was so painful, even with the epidural.
