My two year old is a late talker

My daughter is almost two and doesn't talk yet. She can't repeat words and will only say "wow" or "oh." According to her pediatrician, she's not autistic and we've had her hearing checked. Her dad and I are currently getting her into an early start program for late talkers, but it's a long process and I'm hoping that she'll just start talking any day. She understands alot of what is said to her and will follow 3-5 word commands. Does anyone else out there have/had a late talking toddler? I'm getting discouraged and a little worried as she's my first child. All the websites I've visited don't give much information and are all pretty much saying the same thing. I would really appreciate any insights or advice. Thanks ladies!
