Thoughts on circumcision?

My husband and I want to circumcise our son when he is born, but I've heard some bad things about it too. Just want some opinions.

I have a 12 year old son that isn't circumcised... He has begged and begged me to get him circumcised and the doctor will not do it because he said it's a cosmetic procedure and doesn't find it medically necessary. My newborn was circumcised when he was born though. I'd say it's up to your child, but I think it's so much easier just to do it when they are born. ( just my opinion )

If you are going to do it, do not wait until he's older, do it while he's just born, he won't remember it or anything

We're defiantly doing it to our son while he a newborn. It's a lot of up keep if you're not circumcised. And so many infections happen.

my son will be 12 soon he's circumcised. he barely brushes his hair everyday without me reminding him. he's autistic. didn't know that when he was born but I don't regret my decision. if baby in my belly is a boy I will be getting him circumcised as well.

I'm not circumsizing my son simply because my husband and I don't see it as necessary. I do agree with others though that if you are going to do it do so as a newborn

We had it done before we left the hospital and baby didn't even wake up for the procedure, healed perfectly within a week

me and hubby arent circumcising our son,  but i agree with the ladies on here. if you do it, do it while he is a newborn. it becomes a big deal procedure when he is older.

It's a decision you guys need to make but do NOT wait and plan to do it when he is older instead. Either do it now or not at all unless it's medically necessary when he's older.

I would only have a circumcision done for medical purposes. that's my opinion though x
