How soon to talk about marriage?

We are together for more than a year now and haven't talked about the future yet. We are from a different religion and we are both not yet financially stable, is it okay to ask something about the future? I wanted to ask him about his life goals and if it includes me but i'm afraid that i might scare him away. Is there a right time to talk about this topic?

We casually discussed it early in our relationship. I think it's important to know if you both have the same goals, same with discussions on children early on.

It's a great way to get to know each other better to ask general questions about what each of you would like in life! Like what your religions mean for each of you, if you could imagine marring someone with a different religion, if either of you would like to marry someone one day, where in the world you might like to live, where you would most like to travel, and more things! 😀

I would casually bring it up amd ask him what his view is on marriage, because you two come from difderent religions the view might be different. But if you feel like its the right thing to do and you feel like you're ready, then it's your right as well as his to find out what he feels about marriage and YOUR FUTURE. Communication goes a long way in a relationship!
