Pain relief options other than Epidural?

Hey ladies, I'm wondering what other pain relief options are available other than an epidural? I had one done with baby #1 #2 and #4. # 1 and 2 didn't work well due to not being placed properly, I still had a lot of pain and then with #4 I had some sort of reaction and my blood pressure dropped so low I lost consciousness for a short time. I had baby #3 with no medications at all and remember it was quite unpleasant, I was already almost 8 cm by the time I got to the hospital so there just wasn't time lol. Does anyone know of what other options are out there, what are you planning on trying or what did you use if you've had previous babies? Thanks!!!!!
