does age make it hard to get pregnant?

Hello, i am 25 years old and my husband is 58. At first, i honestly didnt think it was okay to be with someone older, way older. But we have been together for 4 years, and they have been great. i love him so much but now im wanting babies. We are currently trying and its not working out so well. i been keeping track of my periods and keeping up with when im ovulating  but that doesnt seem to work aswell... so what should  i do??? please help!  please help!!!

My dad was born in 1969 and is still having babies, so I don't really think so with men, but I have heard women may more likely encounter fertility issues with age, though I'm not positive how accurate that is, either. I suppose Google might have answers.

how long have you been trying? if it's been over a year, I suggest both of you getting checked if you can afford it, otherwise log EVERYTHING on glow, have sex every 2-3 days especially during your fertile window, get some ovulation test strips from Amazon and a basal body thermometer and read how to temp while trying to conceive and do that in combination with using the glow app, ovulation tests, and temps, making sure to have sex no more than every 2 days (in case it is his age- better chance of more sperm building up with skipping a day) and also lots of couples have success with preseed lube so I suggest that and no other lubes while trying to conceive.

It definitely could be because of his age. I hope I don't offend you with this question, but why did you decide to have kids with a man who is so much older? I mean, when your child is 18 and graduating high school he will be 76. Just curious what your reasoning is.
