Do you believe in going to war with another country if that country attacks first?

So on the topic of North Korea saying they were preparing to launch a missile towards the U.S, how do you feel about going to war if the country attacks first? Personally, I don't believe in war under any circumstances, but I am open to hearing other opinions.

I mean.. if they've actually already attacked you, you may as well be in a war anyway I guess? Like at that point what can you possibly do but fight back? But I don't think it's necessary to start a war for "just in case" kind of reasons.

Some wars may be unavoidable, but I don't currently support armed conflict with N.Korea. There's no potential endgame that doesn't leave S. Korea literally annihilated as a result. Not to mention that I simply don't trust current leadership with the lives of our service men and women.

I'm really conflicted by this, honestly. I don't like that human lives are used to make a point. I don't like that it's possible to kill mass amounts of people. But that's reality. I think it's sad that the people of North Korea are in this position. If North Korea were to attack the US, I just don't think killing all of their people would even do anything. Like what good will it do? Their leader doesn't care about them. He only cares about himself and you know he'll be somewhere safe. I think sometimes war is necessary but it's very dependent on the situation.

The only reason North Korea is threatening us is because WE threatened THEM FIRST. The reason Kim Jong Un is all pissed off at us is because we threatened him and his people (threatened to get involved in their country).
What he does to his people IS NOT OUR BUSINESS. His people have to free themselves. It's not our job to do it for them. We can support them once they come to a point where they need it, but for now, it's their job to liberate themselves.
They're already starting to do that, USBs with outside information are being smuggled into North Korea more and more now. The citizens there are slowly starting to wake up. Let them handle their shit and we can swoop in when they need our help (firepower and money) to take our their government. 
Till then we need to back the fuck off.

Yes. They would have committed an act of war and it would be time to isolate that threat. Unfortunately War is a necessary part of life sometimes. Well never ever completely get rid of it.
