Movement???

Question

The doc keeps asking if I feel the baby move but as a FTM how can I be sure. I think I've felt a flutter here and there but with so many other things going on with my body how can I be sure? When did you know?

I personally started feeling movements at 17 weeks. It felt like gas bubbles and like someone was tapping me from the inside. My doctor too would ask if I felt the baby move and at the time I wouldn't feel her all the time (because they're tiny and have lots of room still) just be honest and tell him you don't know what to feel for.

I felt mine move around 14 to 16 weeks with my hand. I didn't feel actual internal kicks until 17 weeks. Just place your hand down low and apply a little pressure and you'll probably feel it. Mine felt like popcorn pops. I didn't feel any sort of fluttery butterfly feelings, I actually still don't Lol.

Hold your hand down low on your abdomen.. right above your pubic bone. Your organs and intestines have pushed up at this point and what you feel there is gunna be baby.

This is my second pregnancy and I'm 13 weeks. I can't feel much yet (not really showing) but when I place my hand where the baby is and relax I can sometimes feel a shifting/rolling motion. My baby isn't big enough to have strong kicks but I do feel when it stretches/rolls. For me I can feel the difference between gas and baby. Gas is clearly a popping or rumbling and movement like I said feels like something shifting slowly. Hope this helps you 😅

I knew when I thought I felt popping gas bubbles, but they didn't move south to escape as gas.
