Underactive thyroid?

I'm 34 weeks and just been told my bloods have shown my thyroid levels are low. They've taken more blood to recheck, and told me that this could be serious for me and baby, but haven't discussed it any further. Has anyone else experienced this or know anything about it?

Yes, take meds as directed. If you get it under control it isnt a big deal. Just more blood work and a pill every day. I have Hashimotos and take synthroid every day. I go in tomorrow for a final blood draw before baby comes then again 6 weeks after baby when I see endocrinologist again. Try not to stress ☺

They told me this with my last pregnancy. I never had any problems with my thyroid prior. I started taking my medicine everyday and it made my levels go back to normal for the rest of my pregnancy. I ended up weaning myself off of them after I had my daughter and I haven't had any problems ever since. I'm pregnant again and no signs of an under active thyroid. I've been checked. It was the weirdest thing.

I have Hypothyroidism and I have to take a pill every morning and they check my blood every 3 to 4 weeks... they told me as long as you I keep it under control my baby will be fine...
