So, my husband and I made our 9 month old a safe play area for him ti be in when we are too busy to keep a close eye on him and prevent him from getting into mischief. I thought this was the responsible thing to do but a lot of family and friends always comment on it and call it "baby jail" or say stuff like "isn't that thing meant for dogs?" etc.

At first the comments seemed funny so I didn't think much of it but now I feel like they aren't meant to be funny. I don't know, it just feels like people are judging us.

So what do you all think?

Is the play area a good thing or is it bad parenting?
