Small Home Nursery Tips

First time mama here, in a small, cozy home, about 750 sq ft. We're about to kick some organizing in to high gear and saying goodbye to clothes I don't wear and cleaning our the basement. We also have 2 big dogs, and we'll be adjusting where they are crated as well.

Our second room is a walk-through office, which we will consolidate to make room for baby. We will need to be very conscientious of what we choose to add to the house.

What is absolutely essential? What can we do without? Any tips, advice or resources?
