can someone tell me?!?! I'm nervous.

so i will be 20 in 3 weeks and i went to the clinic to get my depo shot and the lady said that i have to get a pap smear/pelvic exams and I'm really nervous because i never had one before and also i found out i have cysts in my cervix and I'm worried what their response is or what they're gonna do to me, honestly i cry so much and get myself worked up about it and all i need is advice and what to expect.......please ladies! give me advice. thanks💞

please don't get the depo...it causes so many probkems! yeah it's great only every 3 months but it's terrible. It causes weight gain (like crazy amounts)  infertility problems, headaches, so much more! I got off of It took almost a year for period to come back to normal. Then took 2 years to get pregnant. found out I had tumors on ovaries, endometriosis when I suffered a miscarriage. There's other options. please research them.

some cysts go away on their own. others burst. they won't remove them unless they are bigger.

Pap smears are a bit uncomfortable, but nothing too terrible. And they're definitely necessary. Just take a friend or parent with you to hold your hand. I hate getting pap smears and vaginal exams done just because its awkward (stranger in your stuff) so I try to have someone with me if I can.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend depo at all, I gained so much weight, it made my period come twice as often when it wore off, and apparently it can mess with bone density if you take it long-term

Cysts can come an go on there own, sometimes. in regards to the pap smears, it's hard and awkward but try your hardest to relax. I cried the first time, but they used like a metal brissel to take a sample. good luck!
