How would you feel about your partner being the first to hold your baby ?

I actually had my nurse hand our daughter directly to my husband for the initial skin to skin. it was probably the most incredible,  most cry worthy,  proud, happy moment of my entire existence. my husband held her 5 minutes,  then I held her for an hour,  before heading upstairs from the delivery room to our recovery suite.

My husband did hold her first - it was an emergency c section and had to be looked at by paediatricians first, then my hubby cut the cord and brought her into me! 
It was the most beautiful vision I'd ever seen 😭 I could cry with love and pride thinking about it

He did hold our son first. They had to close me up from the c section. I was glad they had those moments to themselves and I know he was really happy. Hopefully I'll get to hold our daughter first though 😉

my husband held our son first also. I had a C-section, so he was sitting next to my head holding him so I could see him. if I would have had a vaginal delivery I imagine they would have put him on my chest after delivery and then gone from there. I held him inside me for 9 months, and though my husband was excited, they say moms become moms the moment they find out they're pregnant and dads become dads the moment they hold the baby.

My sons dad held him first while I was getting stitched up after my c section. The nurse brought him over so I could see my baby then gave him to my sons dad
