Multiples are due in my fiancé's as well as my own family! I have 2 daughters already (not twins) and I'm currently pregnant. Did anyone have any weird symptoms or physical happenings that might have shown a sign of multiples? I'm very worried about having a multiple birth and my first apt isn't until the 21st and of course they never do an ultrasound or anything that early. Is there a way of getting them to do one at the apt?

I knew from the moment I got my bfp that it was twins. I can't explain it, I just knew.

I was shocked to find out I was having twins. In hindsight it makes some sense but being this is my first pregnancy, I didn't know what to expect. I was already outgrowing my clothes at like 6-7 weeks (I found it was twins at 7w5d) via ultrasound. I'd push for an earlier ultrasound if you suspect but not sure how to convince a doc to do one (crazy that we should be able to request our own medical care right?!?). Good luck!

I found out because an ultrasound told me. If you tell them you are unsure of how far asking you are will they give you a dating ultrasound?

I actually had some very light spotting around 8/9 weeks which is common in multiple pregnancy apparently!xx

Twins run in my family, but skips generations, last set was born in the early 80's. I have two kids, a boy 8 &  a girl 6. I'm 18 weeks expecting twins, I found out I was having twins a few days after I got my positive pregnancy test, I started having some bleeding/spotting so they did a ultrasound & that's how I found out it was twins, I was 6 weeks 4 days. Besides that I started showing very early, around 9 weeks.
