After the most recent election, there has been a ton of fallout. People that I thought had views similar to mine actually voted for the candidate that said some of the most vitriolic things I have ever heard in my life. How do you maintain relationships with people whose views are so contradictory to yours? How do you move beyond your SO voting for someone who is hateful towards those of different ethnicities? I'm black and he's white and I respect his opinion, but find myself doubting if he can truly understand where I am coming from or what is in store for our children in today's color phobic world. Thoughts?
