$15hr or "robot replacement"
So Labor Day multiple news outlets released the story of this "Bill Gates robot tax". Basically this tax could help people who become unemployed due to a "non-human" replacement.
Lately there have been a lot of post about raising the minimum wage, as many of u know, my argument to that is why? Why raise the cost to employ, when it makes more sense to lower the cost of living. Raising the cost to employ someone, can easily lead to rising cost product/service to "make up" for what's needed to employ people. Again, as I say in my argument, when your replaced by a robot your essentially going to be forced to seek higher education anyway. Even with this new "robot tax" that's supposed to slow the production of robots "taking over" it's still a "better business decision" for greedy corporations to do with out "human workers".
So my question to you is this? Have you considered the potential unemployment rates in the event of artificial workers taking human positions? Have you considered the amount of people who will not be able to afford the schooling to even become employed in such an event?
The cost of higher education is often the argument, people who support the rise in minimum wage, even with the robot tax supposed to be covering the time/cost of seeking hire education or training do u honestly know for a fact everyone will be covered?
I've included what I could find on this report. Both from 2 different websites. (Sorry the most "in depth" article I could find was from Fox News) the
