I am 20 years old and my boyfriend of 5 months and I finally decided to have sex. Last week we were about to do it and he couldn't get hard. I didn't take it too personally I know it happens sometimes. Last night we tried again and he got hard for a little while but then wasn't anymore. This time I'm taking it very personally. I asked him what was wrong, if it was me, but he said no and didn't want to talk about it anymore. I don't know what to do at this point, I don't want to keep trying and it ended up like this. Has this ever happened to anyone before or do you have any advice? It's been 10 months and I really just want to do it😂☹️

Don't do that to him if you ever want him to get hard. The more personally you take it, the more you guarantee him panicking. It's just nerves I'm sure. Take the pressure off by taking sex back off the table. Give head, masturbate together and for each other, kiss a lot.

I had an ex like that, just be patient. We went on to have a healthy sex life after a couple of terrible months (I swear I almost gave up hope 😂) but once he stopped worrying about not being able to get it up, he never had a problem again.

i was with a guy who had trouble getting it up when he would sleep with someone new. we were fwbs so when he would break up with a girl and i was free, we would hook up and he would sometimes have trouble getting it up again. he always insisted he really wanted it and would do other things to me and that it wasn't me. i believe him and trust him. not every guy gets it up, hard as a rock, every time. don't take it personally. believe it or not, but not everything is about you. if you're patient, it will probably get better. if you take it out on him and get worked up over it you will make the situation worse and make him feel worse.

he may have a medical condition. don't take it personally. leave it alone and be 100% supportive (like, if it goes down, say ok! now you go to work on ME, Mister!) . you haven't been together long enough to pry into his personal life as deeply as a possible medical issue. if you like him, truly like him, then sex is secondary. and he should be totally, TOTALLY clear you feel that way. men need to feel loved, too.
