Why haven't he texted me??

He hit me up yesterday telling me he miss me and he want to talk in person but I had something to do and asked him about today and he said he will see what he can do but he haven't text me all day. also I had a good feeling of just checking up on him yesterday and it was a coincidence he texted me. I don't want to seem pressed and text him cause he hurt me, but what should I say? Should I wait until he text or text him
