Pregnancy sickness HELP

I've been feeling horrible for 2 weeks now (first time mom). Its so bad that I can't part with our couch usually or if I do, I usually can't be up walking around for more than 10 minutes because I'll feel worse or feel dizzy. I am a military wife stationed in Europe, and let me tell you, they are not into medicine as much as Americans are. I asked my doctor (off base because the only American hospital close to us is 2 hours away, no thank you) what can I do about the cramps and sickness? He asked how long and how many times a day. I said 2 weeks now, 3 to 4 times a day for hours and hours. Guess what? He said thats normal and I have to deal with it. Thanks doc, you really saved me there. What has saved you in the first trimester? Is there any secrets you have found? I feel like I'm only getting worse. Heres what I have been doing and it's still not enough: •Jolly ranches because sometimes sour candies help. •Crackers by my bed and in my purse in case Im out. •Eatting small meals throughout the day because big meals tend to cause heartburn and more sickness. •Frozen gatorade ice cubes in case I throw up and can't keep anything down (hasn't happened yet). •Drinking water constantly. Like ten 8 ounces a day.
