Advice on Abortion

I have a friend who just informed me she is pregnant, and is going to have an abortion. She is a College student and so is her boyfriend and baby's father, though he is about to graduate. Do you think abortion is a good option, and if yes, the processes involved and possible complications. Our religion and society frowns on teenage and out-of wedlock pregnancy, and abortion. How will the stigma be dealt with in either of these two options; her bf wants her to have an abortion which I think is very irresponsible of him, because she had told me previously he said if she ever did get pregnant, he would want her to keep it and meet her mom. Also, would she be able to live with herself if she goes through with it.
