How long until you ask "what are we"?

I'm starting to date again and find myself liking a guy despite my better judgement (lol). My question is how long until you press the issue of "official" title? I would really appreciate it if people shared their experiences too!

we got to know each other for a few weeks and then knew we were meant to be...and this one girlwas hitting on him and he wanted to ask me before it gets worse (before i wouldve punched her nose to the side of her head lol)

I would have the conservation start like question whether or not he has feelings for you. Then you can both admit those feelings. By then I'd hope that he'd be like okay so do you wanna be a couple. If not then just wait maybe two weeks and then ask him yourself. If he says no then oh well get a new boo
