How many weeks for a membrane strip?

Question

Is anyone getting their membranes stripped before 39 weeks? As of Friday My cervix was/is still 4cm in length but soft. I want to see if my doctor will strip my membranes this week at my appointment but I don’t know if that’s allowed or not. I’ll be 37 weeks at my appointment. I should add he is already 6 pounds!

I don't think they would do it that early but every Dr is different. I don't hurt to ask though.

with my first son the Dr. did mine at 37weeks without me asking i had went in for contractions and I was 2-3 cm dialated they did strip and o had baby that evening at 37weeks he was a healthy 6lb up and was considered fullterm
