HELP!!!

Hi all, basically I put a post up a while ago about strong period pains but they weren't exactly period pains?.... they feel almost like a very sharp cramp that can last between 10 seconds to 2 minutes (I've timed them) my doctor prescribed me Mefemaic Acid to take when on my period which leave me with no period pains when on period. However, these pains are so extreme when not on my period the mefeminic acid doesnt help either with these pains when I'm not on my period, can anyone help?
