Help!!! 28 weeks cervix is 2.5 cm. Is that short?

Question

I can see on my chart from last ultrasound that my cervix is 2.5 cm long. I see my doctor on Friday. Is that considered short? I've been having tons of pressure and Braxton's hicks and now I'm nervous I might deliver sooner :( Any input?

I googled preterm labor not that long ago and i was finding that anything over 3cm is great but under 2.25 was when there was a slight increased risk. But obviously that's just a google search. Your ultrasound results would have gotten to your dr and I'm sure you would've gotten a call if there was an immediate problem. Good luck to you

It's short but not a problem till it goes down 1.5. anyway you need to talk to your Doctor because He can give you some madication to stop the shortening process
