Do many MC @ 6 weeks!

Question

Ive been reading so many posts on here about MC's and so many happen at 6 week. Mine was 6 week 2 days. What development is happening that week that seems to go wrong so often??

I read the heart starts beating around weeks 5 and 6. So my guess is that the heart doesnt develop propertly :( i had a MC in Dec at exactly 6 weeks.

When I mc at 13 weeks doctors were very surprised as I was that far along. They said the 'typical' mc is between 6-8 weeks and it's usually a chromosomal problem of the baby. As other posts mentioned it's when a lot of major organs/ systems start developing and if there's a genetic problem it probably won't develop properly. Our body recognises there's a problem once this happens. It sucks!

I've had two. One at 3 months and one at 5 weeks. My doctor explained two things that cause this unless you have an underlying issue. One is a cardiac issue. The baby's heart starts pumping and working so hard that sometimes their little heart just gives out. Two is a genetic make up. They call if chromosomal abnormalities. Basically you and your partner's egg and sperm was not a good match. Doctors won't do any testing until you have had 3 miscarriages. So we are praying third times a charm for us. Best of luck. I MC at 10 weeks but baby wasn't measuring over 7 weeks, doc says it's usually due to a chromosomal defect the body detect early, unfortunate for me, my body had not naturally let the baby pass so I had to get a D&C.
