When to make Doctors appointment

I just found out I am pregnant with #2 today and was wondering when I should make my first appointment? With my 1st I waited until 8 weeks and found out hpt at 6weeks. By my calculations I'm only 4 weeks today. Do I really have to wait an entire month?

I made mine at 4 weeks and have an appointment when I'm 8 weeks.

My doctors office will do a "pregnancy consultation" right away. They do a urine test, go over insurance, and a pelvic exam (I remember with #1 they said my uterus was enlarged and there was "definitely something going on in there"). Then around 8 weeks I get an ultrasound.
