Help! Had a pap smear done today and my stomach hurts

I had a pap smear today for the first time in 3 years with with a new Dr bc my old one stopped taking my insurance. I've been goin to him since I was 15 and now have someone I don't know! Besides that my abdomen hurts so bad. Its hard to stand up and move around. I don't even get period cramping like this. Is this normal? I don't ever remember being in this much pain after my annual visit, maybe a little discomfort but not like this. insights please?! I will check in in the morning.
