Do we have to have something to moan about?

So this is sparked by my current living situation. We (along with 3 couples, not living together, we live separately) pay no rent, no bills, so live for free with my the job. 
This is perfect for me and my SO. We have never been so happy as what we earn, we keep. However some of the other couples still moan about everything under the sun. 
It begs me to question why? We have a perfect opportunity and situation here so why moan? 
Do you think we can ever live a "happy" life (whatever that is to you) and never moan? Or do we need to moan about our lives for whatever reason? What is that reason?

You can answer this personally or reference the situation we are in. 
P.s the job they all do is not hard or taxing at all so it isnt moaning about their work load!

People will always moan about something. Think of this app alone, people on here moan about everything and there are others who can’t even afford a simple piece of technology. Everyone plays victim and think they have it harder than everyone else. What’s worse is I think some people enjoy the attention of playing victim. People who enjoy complaining will always find something to complain about.

I think there are definitely people who need to have something to whinge about.  I once had a friend who would whinge that she could never find work.  She got a job, then whinged it wasn't enough hours.  So she eventually found another job who offered her plenty of hours and whinged that it was too much and quit after a week.  And then went right back to whinging about not being able to "find a job she likes".  I like to think I'm not one of those people but I probably am, just not to that great of an extent 😅

I honestly think it's human nature to look for problems. I have friends who are in the "perfect" situation, and still moan about mundane things like that their grapes have seeds in them.

I think bitching and moaning about your life is pointless. Don't like it? CHANGE IT! Your heavy sighs and toddler tantrums are a waste of time and energy.

I need a job like that Charlie, you lucky git! 😂 Honestly Im a complainer, I even bug myself at times! Ive had to consciously practise gratitude. I still like a good moan, but I catch myself and stop. Not sure why Im like this, im looking for answers too lol

I think it comes down to personality type. Many folks are more likely to see or look for the negative side. It can be frustrating if you're not really one of those people!
