Loss of supervisor trust...
Sorry I don't know exactly where this post belongs. But here goes. Im super annoyed with my supervisor. I told her when I was only like 8 weeks along that I am expecting, because I was so sick all the time. We talked about my previous miscarriage, and she told me about her 3 previous ones. I felt very close to her at this point knowing that she understood what I went through, and the fear I was then going through. She said she would keep it between us, and to just let her know when I am ready to let people known I'm pregnant. Well when I posted our announcement photos on fb the other week, one of the leads is friends with me on fb and saw them, so she came over to congratulate me. And she was like "I'm so glad I can finally congratulate you, (my boss) told us forever ago that you were pregnant but not to say anything!" .... oh and she added: "yea she said not say anything because I guess you guys were having problems" ... I'm guessing referring to our past MC and not conceiving for awhile after it. I was so stunned I was just like "oh.. okay". Also btw, this lady isn't even my team lead, she is on a whole different team. So by "us" I'm assuming she told the whole supervisor and lead staff for my department, in a meeting or something. I don't open up to very many people, but I felt the need to explain to her my story because I was recently hired back from taking a year off to explore other opportunities.
That was VERY personal business I told her, and she even said herself that she would keep it to herself until I'm ready. I just feel so violated, trust wise! I guess employee-supervisor confidentially isn't really a thing here...
