Lost Milk Overnight?

So obviously I know it doesn't just disappear, but I don't seem to be producing as much milk as I used to. I went to pump last night and this morning and nothing came out. But 2 days ago it wasn't like that... why would my supply seem to have left so quickly? My son is 10 weeks old today and exclusively breastfed. I just pump to have a supply when I go back to work.

water water water!!  i found that if I didn't drink tons of water the day before that my milk supply would drop significantly. if u make sure your eating enough and drinking tons of water you should have no problem getting it back. also just latch baby as often as u can for a couple days and it will signal your body to produce more!!

This happens to me right before I get my period. To combat it I double my water intake.

This happened to me the other day tried pumping twice and barely got half an ounce total. It got better, but it's super frustrating. Not sure what happened.

Take in more calories (or your body will not produce correctly) and nurse as much as you can at night. Prolactin levels are highest then and helps produce more. Nurse as much as you can instead of pumping as well because the pump does not produce as much as baby. I've seen women pump while nursing and it can lower supply if you pump too much in place of nursing. Good luck and congrats for hanging in there!
